As its executive medical director, Dr. Leonard Fromer advises the Group Practice Forum, a division of The Kinetix Group, on all matters related to clinical integration, quality improvement, and care coordination.
Dr. Fromer has been in private practice in Santa Monica, California, with Prairie Medical Group for 28 years. He served as a consultant and member of the board of TransforMED, LLC, where he specialized in clinical integration with a focus on center of excellence quality improvement in chronic diseases, coupled with successful practice transformation to the patient-centered medical home and accountable care organization models of care.
Dr. Fromer is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a diplomate of both the American Board of Family Practice and the National Board of Medical Examiners, and a member of the advisory board of the state of California IMAP (Integrating Medicine and Public Health) program on allergy and asthma. He is also a past president of the California Academy of Family Physicians, and has served more than 10 years as a member and chairman of the American Academy of Family Physicians’ Commission on Health Care Services.
After graduating magna cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY), Dr. Fromer received his MD, also magna cum laude, from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed his residency at the University of California Irvine/Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
